Good afternoon

I have t2 diabetic since 2013 ! Not on insulin …yet

I am skinny ( not ladda ) but struggle to keep my sugars in control .

On the max oral medications!

I’m observing fasting , have libre freestyle to monitor my fasting .I’m a strange case , my endocrinologist thinks although I produce enough insulin, I act like a t1 . Recently without any warning my sugars despite fasting just shot up , then remain high for upto 12-13 hours . Even then it only goes to 8 or 7 .

No matter how much I excersice or cut down on carbs . Even eating eggs and sausage , things low carb , spike my sugars. Just remain high .

I just turned 45, this year is it my body saying it’s now time for insulin

Any advice anyone

Hi @khasru_miah_

I've just been reading some of your previous posts and am wondering
1) has your endocrinologist done a recent cpeptide test to verify how much insulin you are producing?
2) If your endo says your body isn't behaving like a T2 have they tested for other forms of diabetes (eg T3c, MODY)
3) Have you had covid recently (that can do weird, sometimes temporary, things to bgs)
4) Things like infections or some medications (eg steroids) can push up blood sugars.

There that's me out of ideas...

Disclaimer, not a doctor or a T2 and we can't diagnose on the forums :)

To add to what EllieM wrote, are you cross-referencing the libre 2 values with a glucometer?
