Hi and welcome, could give us some better information please.
The numbers are confusing.

Can you explain the meds you are on?
Maybe type the numbers like forty?
And we will go from there. What type are you?
Best wishes.

I’m on insulin X2 so it’s 10 units twice a day
I’m on slow release Metformin twice a day
I have been working on my meals planning for weeks now and nothing worked..
my sugars are from 10-20mmls
And I’m 1.5 diabetic as it’s runs in the family

Hi there @Gabrielle95 so you are a late onset T1. May I suggest you add that you have LADA to your profile. Only because it helps members answer your questions as T1’s have different needs to T2’s as far as diet goes. I’m going to tag @Antje77. She is also LADA and I believe does a reduced carb diet.

Hi @Gabrielle95 , welcome to posting on the forum.

Have you been diagnosed with type 1.5? (Which is also called LADA, it's a form of type 1, autoimmune diabetes.)
Are you under hospital care with an endocrinologist and diabetes specialist nurse or are you being treated by your GP?

Your treatment of a fixed amount of long acting insulin and metformin sounds like a typical type 2 treatment, which doesn't really makes sense if you have LADA and are seeing high numbers.

Are you in the UK?
Usually, people with T1 are referred to an endo, and they will use both long acting insulin as a background or basal, and quick acting insulin to cover meals.
