Suggestions for light low carb after severe gastroenteritis

    Any ideas gratefully received ...Eggs excepted as they caused the problem in the first place ... May be a while before I can look an egg in the face again even as an ingredient.

    Surgery nurse (who said something along the line of "your blood sugars will be pretty low after nearly a week of no food") has suggested probiotic yoghurts - until I pointed out the amount of sugar in them, dried toast (after I said I had given up bread) and jacket potato (after I had explained that I had given up potatoes) and porridge (after I had explained that I have given up cereals) ...


    Just managed a few teaspoons of cod followed by 1/3 banana yesterday with no repercussions.

    A light chicken broth, that is if you are well enough to cook it.

    Stay away from dairy if you can it tends to feed the bug .Chicken broth ,beef broth ,veg soup,Marmite if you like it makes a comforting drink
