Vitamin supplements: garlic pills, magnesium, CO-q10, lutein, alpha lipoic acid.
Garlic increases defense against high blood pressure and keeps healthy cardio-vascular. CO-q10 also ensures healthy heart. Lutein insures eye health. Alpha Lipoic Acid protects against nerve end damage. Magnesium supplements are essential for diabetics. Also chromium piccolinate and vanadium are also very useful.
Get a retina check every year.
Remember that inactive means one insulin level, and, on the contrary, active/exercise lifestyle means less injected insulin level.
High dosages of insulin without exercise will increase weight. (to be avoided)
