is it safe to use a sun cream or lotion, on type 1 diabetic,? as ive heard it soaks into the skin, can this affect blood sugars? same as with aftersun lotion?

I've never heard it's unsafe. I've always applied sun screen and had no problems. Just was your hands prior to testing. I'd say it would be more dangerous to sit in the sun without any protection on.

Always used sun creams and can't say its effected bg levels, can't see why it would to be honest.

There was an interesting article in one of the national papers a week or two back, they tested some of the more expensive brands against some of the cheaper supermarket ones, guess what Aldi's own came out top at a fraction of the cost of some high-street brands. I just use Asda's own which is a factor 30 for sensitive skin.
