roast dinners are great, and a low carbing T2 could eat
- lots of roast meat
- lots of above ground veg - green beans, sprouts, cabbage, cauli, broccoli, mushrooms, courgette,
- some of the lower carb root veg like celeriac, suede, turnip
- low carb gravy (which is nicer than that bought gloop ) which is blended veg in the meat juices
- and things like mustard and horseradish are usually fine
- the sweet accompaniments such as mint jelly or cranberry are probably fine in controlled quantities. buried in the rest of the meal
Plenty to get your teeth into there!
stuffing, potato, carrots and parsnips are probably fine in small portions, but if small portions are frustrating, then it is easy to avoid them and replace them with fab alternatives like cauliflower cheese, roast celeriac, or mashed suede.
