I too have been suffering from hot flushes, always several times during the at night, often in the evening and sometimes during the day. I find this difficult to cope with as, at night, I will have to throw all covers off and then wake again very cold, and when it occurs during the day/evening it also arrives with a feeling of great irritability. I do take other meds I feel certain it is due to my medication, a combination of 850mg metformina and 50g vildagliptin, as I have read metformin can cause night sweats and I did not suffer from these prior to taking the meds, and I believe I had been diabetic a long time before diagnosis. I take this twice daily, after breakfast and after my evening meal. I am 63 and had no experience of hot flushes during my menopause.
I have read through other posts and realise that this has been covered in depth but I am wondering if there is any help out there, anything known to relieve these symptoms as I cannot stop taking the medication? many thanks
