Hi everyone,
I'd list myself as a relative newbie, diagnosed type1 in Aug this year.
I've started to wake up between 2.30-4.30 drenched in sweat, so much so that I've had to change the bedding. I've tested bg and it's a quite high 9.8 - 8.6.
Has anyone had experience of this or could shine a light for me please?

I experience night time sweats when my BG is too high as well as too low so it could be just simply you need some more insulin.

Another option could be age related for us women. I am sure you know what I mean ... although I have no idea of your age so not sure if it is a possibility for you.

Loved the aged related thingy but I've done that... made me laugh though, thanks

I used to get night sweats as well, but lost 51/2 stone and they have thankfully gone, now being a man my main experience of the agey thing is sleeping in a freezing bedroom, watching telly with a hat and coat on etc, you ladies don't know what us men go through lol, but out of desperation and fearing hypothermia I have found a partial solution, rice oil! Get as much in you as you can, pour it on your toast, cook everything in it, it has not got rid of my bosses agey thing completely, but it has certainly eased my pain.

Yeah definitely used to wake up early hours soaked in sweat, but lost weight and got BG under control and it's stopped.

I used to have that problem, but haven't since getting my BG down. Then again, it's also winter.. :p As I understand it, it's one way the body tries to get rid of excess BG, so frequent urination & sweating.. Which I guess could also lead to sodium depletion and dehydration. I know pre-diagnosis I'd sometimes get water cravings and want to guzzle a couple of pints, which was probably due to being a bit hyperglycemic.
