Woke up and continued for some hours boiling hot, so much so, I was sweating. Thought this morning's toast was having a bad effect on me, and wondered if you can actually feel a BG spike in that way.... then, discovered that we must have had a power dip as the heating was coming on at 2am! Lol!
My husband changed the controller on his way to work and I turned the radiator completely off and opened the window some hours ago, now feel much better and less like I'm living in Saudi Arabia.

wow lucky you...freezing here in England but hate the sweating when it starts always makes me think oh dear what is myblood sugar levels ...

You know it was actually a nicer temperature out in the Middle East in Oman, when we used to live there, because you had air-conditioning, and we didn't have to put up with my Mum putting the central heating on full blast even when the temperature is just a nice balmy spring day, here in the UK.
Not her fault, she's 85, doesn't move about much anymore and feels the cold a lot. (besides she's paying that bill and won't let us take it over... so nothing we can do.) Ian would light her fire for her, with great pleasure - there's a lot of branches, twigs, and loads and loads of logs just cluttering the garden up, that he'd love to get rid of, but no... she wants the central heating on, and still complains she's cold.
But I sit up here trying to work and it's like a sauna!
What can you do? Nothing. (Apart from opening the window! Lol!)
(but I don't think I can do that today, I woke up last night after only an hour or so, screaming in agony! My back's so bad at the moment!)
At least I finally got a test video done and uploaded yesterday. Testing Black Crackle paste! Yum! Lol!

Because you are in a warmer climate and not putting up with the English weather :)

What, in Essex? Or just in this house in Essex with my Mum controlling the temperature like it's the Sahara? I mean I know that Darkest Essex is a bit different to the rest of the UK, but still....:***::rolleyes:

I'm hot again this morning, think I might have to open the window again, and let some of that lovely cool Essex spring air in.
....I suppose Mum hasn't 'adjusted' the heating again? "suspicious mind", I'll just check if the radiator is on or not...
Radiator was hot... I can't seem to turn it off. No wonder I'm boiling. Have to check it again in half an hour - see if my fiddling with it has made it cooler or not - I hate this house.:grumpy::banghead:

I've somtinmes tested when I'm started off in sweat mode, and I've never actually seen any unusual glucose levels...:wideyed: So completely flummoxed.

realy ...well If I start to sweat it normally is because my levels are dropping and I have to treat a hypo

Ah. But I'm type 2 and my levels are usually pretty high, they don't seem to want to go low at all.
... mind you, I haven't tested when boiling hot and sweaty, hmmmm. I didn't realise type 2's could have hypos, I thought that was just type 1's.

I didnt iether untill one day I wa sout walking the dogs and on the way back found my leg was hard to move and suddenly thought Low blood sugars ...luckily I was just aroudn the corner to my home and tested as soon as I got in it was 2.4...from that day on I carry a mars bar or some jelly babies in my pocket just to be safe :)

Good grief, 2.4! I've been happy recently that my morning resting rate seems to have come down from the 9's to the 7's... so if I'm hot and sweety and the radiator isn't on, I should maybe test?
Gonna have to get a load more strips, I've only got about 10 left.

yes do you not get them from the doctors on prescription...I test four times a day ..have to say I know when levels dropping as makes me feel weird back then when that happened I was totally new to diabetes but made me aware always to carry some glucose tabs or somehting when out walking :)
