Welcome Andrea.

No its not normal, you can sweat when having a hypo, my advice would be to get checked out at your Dr's.

I was just about to say the same as @noblehead - I'm one of those people who are ALWAYS cold, I wear so many layers I look like the michelin man! But I sweat when I'm having a hypo, so definitely get to your doctor. Have you tested your sugars when you're having a sweating episode?

Yes I have suffered with this! I'm also type1! Dr was useless I got referred to a dermatologist which again took months as they discharged me after trying a treatment that had no effect! I eventually went back and got sorted! I now take tablets called Oxybutynin and they worked great I do stil get sweaty but they have helped a lot! Like you I used to get extremely sweaty when doing nothing and when I would walk at a normal pace would end up drenched in sweat! All the dr's used to ask is it normal amount are you sure it's that bad and it was I literally would be drenched after normal walking and eventually have been given something that helps significantly! Nobody ever told me and I did research online it is called hyperhidrosis and it says on NHS website that insulin can cause this again something no doctor ever mentioned to me! Hope you get some help and a solution!!

Doesn't sound like anything diabetic related. Could be a number of underlying medical conditions. Excessive sweating, also called hyperhidrosis. Best go to the GP for professional advice. Good luck.

I do sometimes but now night is definitely the worst for me, it's gotten worse since my kidney transplant 3months ago, I'm type 1 also have all 3 neuropathies, I'd suggest talking to doctors, hth

I'm using my phone and haven't read your profile Andrea, but could it be an age related hormone thing?

Apologies if that's an enormous insult.
