Sweats

@adam50 what have you considered trying to eat to replace the junk food? High carbs give me sweats when coming down on insulin.
High carb can even be 2-3 scoops of mash potato. Saucer of cooked pasta or similiar size rice. Bread not so much for me but I've never been a big bread or crisp eater.
I am a high protein eater but trying to cut back. No sweats on high protein just late high bgs.
You would surprisingly find cutting out potato, rice, bread and cereal, oh and pasta/pizza base just as beneficial to getting rid of your sweats.
The sweats are your bodies way of getting rid of excess sugar/carb producing fluids along side urinating frequently. These all cause dehydration.
High carbs = sugary cravings (not as emotional as you might first think)
Cravings can be relentless on a high carb way of life.
Don't knock yourself. Carbs are the enemy not you!
 
Crisps chocolate cakes etc etc I suffer from depression so I binge eat

If excluding these foods takes you out of your comfort zone then it will cause a reaction in the body like sweating, wonder if you could introduce some small changes like swapping the chocolate for a high cocoa content one and opt for some low-carb biscuits/cakes, this way your body won't feel deprived and you'll feel less anxious.
 
Hello @adam50 - Or you could replace the Chocolate, Crisps and cakes with a handful of unsalted nuts such as: Walnuts, Pecans, Almonds and Cashews. They are good at controlling and lowering blood sugars. And they don't make me sweat!!:)
 
It may be the carb-rich foods causing the sweats: having high blood sugar levels is likely to make you feel sweaty, and perhaps anxious and unwell generally too?
So it's not removing the high-carb foods from your diet that will be a problem. In fact, you probably need to do it. However, your body may take a while to get used to a different diet and cravings for the 'bad foods' are likely to be a difficulty for a short while. As others have said, it's a good idea to find substitutes for the unhealthy stuff. Nuts and seeds are a good substitute. A slice of cheese, slices of hard-boiled egg, slices of cucumber with peanut butter. Whipped cream, a splash of vanilla essence, a grated square of 70% chocolate, with 5 blackberries or raspberries or blueberries, and a few flaked almonds or some coconut. Yum. Good luck with fixing your diet. :)
