Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you noticed an increase in cravings for carby/sugary things since being diagnosed? I was diagnosed at 21 and prior to that enjoyed a bar of chocolate a few times a week but now (at 25) anything sweet doesn't last more than 10 seconds in our house  and if sweets are in front of me I cant help but eat them! once i have one I want them all!
I really want to get the amazing control a lot of you guys have as my BG tends to hover aroound the 10-12 mark with the occasional 6 or 7 and the occasional seriously high. how do you cope with cravings? or get rid of them?
I need to find some will power!
I'm at uni, and am surrounded by chocolate and crisps (its seems to be the only snack food available!) which doesnt help, and I tend to graze so its not easy to take lots of stuff with me as i'd have to take a suitcase! any suggestions?
I have been told that highish BG increases cravings, has anyone else experienced this before?
Thanks
Nomi
