If you didn't already know some sweeteners use as a filler the dextrose that is actually a form of glucose.
I've used for months a brand artificial sweetener like this. The deceptive line on the package says that is useful to reduce the intake of Sucrose - they are not saying that has almost the same caloric intake of the sugar for the weight. You'll use less because there's also sucralose, but the glycemic index is high.
