Hi,
I'm on an animas pump which I know is waterproof but as I'm going on holiday in May I'd like to go for a dip in the sea. I will disconnect from my pump for this, but my question is what about my cannula, will it be okay in sea water or will I have to change it.
Thanks Avi

@avi I leave my cannula in (with a 'stopper' to stop water getting in and seal the open bit of the cannula). If I think the sea isn't partticularly wholesome, I change my cannula and set when I get home.

I've never had any problems doing this.

Considering one of the adverts for the animas pump was people swimming the channel wearing an animas pump, I think you will be safe

I use an Insight, often go in the sea and as already mentioned leave the cannula in but with the cover added. Remove my pump whilst in the water (although Animas should be ok left on).

Have fallen into the sea with Combo still connected, took few minutes to get out of water but pump was fine.

Just wasn't sure how things would react with salty water, thanks guys.
