My husband has been type 2 for 24 years, on insulin & tabs for 5 years. Reasonably well controlled throughout although on high levels of insulin.
For past 3 or 4 years, he has had his hands swelling and pain caused. Slightest knock and he is in agony. Taken 5 years to get rheumatology appt only for them to say all his pain and hand issues down to diabetes. Diabetic nurse says unlikely as he is well controlled so saw physio today who confirmed they think diabetic caused. I am not fully convinced - is there anyone with same issue and can give their experience? Also any reccomendations for things to help with pain/swelling?
