Swollen thumb

Hi all
For the last week my thumb has swollen up round the nail near the right side. It is extremely painful with sharp shooting pains and is starting to hurt down the thumb as well.
I saw the gp who has given me anti biotics since Thursday but still no improvement .
I'm worried as I'm lada diabetic and just came off my metformin and linaglitin and in the middle of changing my insulin regimen.

Try not to worry too much, I'm sure you'll be just fine and you've seen the doctor which is the important thing.

You say you're LADA although your profile says T2?
