What symptoms are involved with diabetes apart from glucose levels going up or down?

I've heard that blood pressure and cholesterol levels are affected by diabetes, what else is affected?

Also, are the symptoms different/similar for T1 and T2 diabetes?

Thank you for your responses? :)

I've heard that blood pressure and cholesterol levels are affected by diabetes,

Whilst I don't entirely disagree, I would respectfully suggest that such statements should be researched so that you have proper empirical evidence to back that statement up. Personally I had high BP before diabetes and it is well controlled in fact slightly lower than the norm. As for cholesterol my last test before christmas was 4 and that's without statins.

As Bluetit1802 has intimated, we're all different, no on rule fits all. Managing diabetes is like keeping plates balanced on those sticks.
