Does anybody know if Sweet Freedom syrups are OK for diabetes please,
Because of other medical reasons I can't have chemical sweeteners but it seems high in natural sugar thanks

The only way you’ll know if these syrups are good or bad for your diabetes is to test your blood sugar before and two hours after to see how your body deals with the sugars, natural or otherwise your body still sees them as sugar.
Personally I prefer to save my carbs for food and have carb free drinks.

Run, run away! I've just had a quick look. It claims to be free of many, many, many things (celery, lupin, kiwi - up to about 20 things in all BUT SUGAR IS NOT ONE OF THOSE). In fact, its nutritional info states a 4.6g serving has 4g sugar and that is primarily the fructose from apples.
The University of Colorado published a research paper a couple of months ago pointing out that doctors' recommendation of fructose being safe because of its slow absorption doesn't take into account that excess intake contributes to obesity. (Major Study Claims to Identify The Root Cause of Obesity: Fructose - ScienceAlert, Oct 20, 2023)
