I've just had a really frustrating 48 hours or so. Insulin shots that seem to do nothing, shots that did way more than I'd expect. Food that had no discernible effect or alternatively sent me soaring. Two nights of broken sleep which never helps. Then after lunch today I waited to see which way the roller coast would go and.... a beautiful steady line at around 6. What?!!! I can't explain why it went right any more than I can explain why it went wrong.

All I can come up with is that at some point over last weekend I remember thinking "Things are going well". That'll teach me!

That's diabetes in a nutshell, it send these curveballs at us just to keep us on our toes.

Its crazy sometimes how your sugars can change drastically with no explanation. Illness is a big one plus sometimes a change in weather can affect insulin. At least it came back down to a decent reading!

I get frustrated sometimes after exercise when I assume my bloods will be perfect. I check before going on a run when it might be 6 or 7. Then when I grt back it will have risen to 12 or 13. Only happens occassionally but it makes no sense to me. Ill get to the bottom of it one day!!!

Most likely due to anaerobic exercise during the run. It tends to push bg levels up!
