Hello peeps! I'm sure this is a minor intrusion on a well debated issue but, as a T2 diabetic I regularly check my family for any blood sugar anomalies. My wife is on thyroxine as well as my eldest daughter, both started out as hyperactive, treated with radio-active iodine, subsequently became under active and are now on replacement therapy. My wife's blood sugar levels are always consistently fine, my daughters, recently, fell through the floor! The first one was 1.3 and then only maxed out at 4.8 after a large bag of Malteasers (1hr) and then back to 3.9 after 2 hrs!! A quck visit to her GP resulted in an increase in her thyroxine medication, only from 150mg to 175mg per day with the explanation that her blood sugar was low because her throne was too low....which was making her insulin levels high......! Confused? Me too! More blodd tests in three months.... Doctors, who'd trust them? Good health to all. T
