I am having my heart bypass op tomorrow, so will not be on the Forum for a while. Keep well all of you. Will see you on the other side provided it goes to plan,

Edit to add: On the third day someone else arose....... Happy Easter. Wot timing!
 
Well I made it through to the other side (of the pain barrier) Will take me a while to convalesce but I got home today after an exciting triple bypass op. They wanted to replace my valves, but found them to be serviceable/ On the way out from it I lost my kidneys again, then my liver, then my panceas. Now I have a collapsed lung to fix, but they felt pity on me, and I ticked all their boxes, even getting my sugars under control. They stopped my Metformin, and put me on 10 mg of gliclazide,but when that did nothing I was straight onto inulin infusions. When I hypo;ed twice in succession, then they listened to me, and put me on a compromise 80mg twice a day. My meter readings this day was 5 / 5,4 /6 and f nose tonight since I had celebration takeaway as I am wont to do on such occasions, New regime starts in a couple of days.

Will be back on the boards when my spider wot types is under better control
 
Take good care of yourself @Oldvatr - it's good to know you're through the surgery and slowly recovering.
 
I was wondering where you were so I looked at your profile page and found this thread. I can't believe I missed it.

Goodness, you have been through the mill. Did I read it right that you are at home now, released from the hospital's clutches? How are all your important bits - lungs, pancreas, kidneys and liver?

Take it very easy, and convalesce properly. Wishing you all the best and sending hugs.
 
Oh, I now understand how I missed it. You put it in general chat, and those threads are excluded from the new/recent posts lists.
