I’m going to Hyde Park to see the legend that is Roger Waters :) an email has arrived from the organisers stating only a sealed bottle of water is allowed in. Obviously I’m going to be carrying in cartons of orange juice and jelly babies in my bag. I’ve emailed and tweeted the organisers as surprise surprise no reply. Has anyone had any issues getting this stuff past security at gigs?

Thanks

A few years ago, I went to a match in the rugby World Cup in Cardiff. All drink (including hypo treatment) was confiscated at the gate. When I said I needed it because I had diabetes, I was told I would have to queue at the bar to get some more.
The security guard had no idea.
Therefore, since then, I have assumed absolutely no liquids unless designated medical (e.g. glucose gel) for such events.
Yes, it’s a pain but it is better than throwing away perfectly good orange juice.

I would not assume any message would get from the organiser to the security guard you come across in Hyde Park.

Why would you need orange juice? You can take a solid form of glucose without problems. Wish you a wonderful time and say hello to mr. Waters from me :)

Yeah I was starting to think I’m just going to suck it up and put my jelly babies in my bra o_O
