I'm 19 and from the uk, I would love to make some friends with type 1/2 doesn't bother me, I have a son who's 3 months almost 4 months! Would just love to talk about keeping my blood sugars at a good level as they are always up and down. If anybody wants to message me and chat please do ! I have also been diagnosed for a year but before I found out I was pregnant they thought I was type 2 so a day after I gave birth they diagnosed me with type 1.
Good to hear from you! I'm by no means a regular contributor on here but I've had T1 for 22 years and I'm feeling more confident than ever about my control. It's good to see you reach out like this and these kinds of posts always inspire me to stay in touch with other T1s and get as much help as possible!
When I was first diagnosed (aged 7) and the following years after, I had reeeaaaallly poor control because I hated it, so I'd eat more sweet things as like a middle finger to my T1! Haha but now I respect it and treat it like it's just another part of me, which helps me not get too annoyed when my BGs are all over the place, it's just part and parcel of being a T1 and I know how to correct and bring things back to normal...sometimes! haha
If you BGs fluctuate loads then definitely ask someone to help you!
