I was prescribed Tamazepam due to poor sleeping patterns but I'm concerned that by taking them along with reading the possible side effects. I've been told these may throw my LCHF dieting out of the window by suppressing hunger ect or even making hunger worse. I'm not sure what to do?!

I always look at the meds I take and weigh them up in terms of benefit vs effects.
clearly the fact you are having sleep issues -- you can't sort your day to day life if you are not sleeping -- so from a priority point of view I would agree with @mahola
try the med and sort the food after you are working from a firm base to think things through
