HI, I have a Dexcom CGM, and just wondering what the best strong water proof tape i should use. As i get about 2 weeks from my sensors, but go to the gym alot etc, so as i have the sensor on the back of my arm, i really need something good, as nothing i have used lasts more than a couple of days - any help would be great - thanks

opsite flexi is generally the best. cut a hole in the middle of the sheet for the transmitter and stick it down. I tend to do it after 7 days and can easily get 3 weeks then.

I use tegaderm film and it lasts 21 days. It will go longer but that's my average now for sensor use :)

Cheers thanks for that, I will check them both out

I get good results with Tegaderm too. You can fold it in half to cut out a sensor-shaped hole, or cut it in half lengthways or width ways and apply each half to either side of the sensor. Just don't cover the sensor itself, it may overheat and the transmitter could fail (£200 gone!).

I paste skin tac on first - let it dry then put the sensor on top, current one has been in for four weeks and still going strong.
