Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, my three year old was rushed to hospital in a state of ketoacidosis three weeks ago and subsequently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
On the most part he is good with his blood tests and injections and his mum and I couldn't be prouder of how he has accepted the dramatic change to his lifestyle. However since being diagnosed his temper has become terrible. He has always been a hot headed child but in the last two weeks he has kicked off about the tiniest thing, and very demanding regarding being carried, being brought food etc.
His blood sugars are largely under control, occasionally too high. I don't know whether his behaviour is down to his diabetes, because he was fussed over in hospital for 8 days or just a natural development in his personality.
Any other parents of T1 toddlers able to share their experiences?
