Terminally confused about user accounts

I get very confused with the number of user accounts I need on this site and the low carb diet site.

Account 1 was created when I registered with the Low Carb Diet Program.

I got to the program from a link on https://www.diabetes.co.uk/ and I mistakenly jumped to the conclusion that it was part of diabetes.co.uk. But apparently not.

I wanted to download some recipes in PDF files and became convinced I had to log in to diabetes.co.uk to do it, so I used account 1. It didn't work, and I started thinking I must have made a mistake with my password or the email account I had created the account with. So I created account 2.

Then I had a technical problem with the LowCarb Diet Program and wanted some help from this forum. I couldn't log in with either of my previous accounts and had to create a third one.

I'm currently logged in with account 3 to write this post.

I've now completely forgotten the details for account 2.

I still log in to the Low Carb Program with Account 1 - so I hadn't got the account name or password mixed up after all.

I may have created some other accounts. The whole thing became so confusing that I simply lost track of what account belonged to what.

Despite appearances to the contrary, I'm not usually stupid. Is it normal to need an account for each of the following ? Have I been doing everything in the wrong order?

Tubleweed - How any member's account is set up very much depends on when they joined and how they went about things. You should not need any more than one account.

Where the forum is concerned, we only allow one account per member. Rule C5 of the Community Ethos and Rules covers this. https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/community-ethos-forum-rules.50278/

Multiple accounts aren't permitted, but we'll get that sorted out for you. Whilst a very small number of users create multiple accounts, then behave in an unhelpful manner, most happens as yous did - due to a misunderstanding or error. It's not the end of the world, but as you are now finding, it can just lead to frustration and irritation further down the line.

If you could please send an email to forum@diabetes it will start the process off to sort out your accounts - to ensure you end up with the best configuration available to you.

In that email, if you would please list your accounts, with the user names for each and the email address associated with each account. It would also be important to detail where you use each account so that we don't inadvertently remove any access you want or need.
