Test result after forgetting to take Metformin

I received a meter and strips 3 weeks ago, but have not tested until today at 5 pm.I forgot to take Metformin last night and this morning,so had no diabetic medication since Wednesday morning.(I take 2X500MG morning and same in the evening) My test result was 6.5 - my Hbac1 was 50,on the new scale, at my diabetic review 3 weeks ago.Is this a good result, Especially after forgetting the meds last night and this morning?

It takes around 8 weeks for metformin to take effect.
Missing a couple of doses is unlikely to have a significant effect on your snapshot testing.
