Test strip anomalies

That pre-dates mine Robert, here is the unit that I had that housed the test tube and dropler....





And this was the syringe and plastic holder....

 
I had a very similar blue syringe holder, but mine was part of a blue plastic box with clips for my vials of U40 regular and isophane. I remember boiling my syringe once a week, wrapped (disassembled) in a cotton hanky !

I do remember boiling the syringe, the surgical spirit which kept the syringe clean afterwards was a nightmare to dispell.... I'm sure I never use to get rid of it all and would inject it together with the insulin :crazy:
 
Taking a test strip from each batch and testing a drop of blood from the same finger one after the other!
