Test strips stopped

There is a simple logic with providing strips to diabetics;

1) they have better control so cost the NHS less over their lifetime;

2) diabetics with better control contribute more in the nation

There is no long term logic in the rationing. I buy my own strips as well as the NHS strips.

Test strips stopped according to my health team all type 2 diabetics that dont take insulin will have their test strips withdrawn on prescription. received a letter yesterday telling me no more test strips from now on they say according to NICE guidelines we dont have to do it( self test that is) the twice yearly diabetes check will survice anyone else getting this bull**** excuse.

I was diagnosed type 2 a couple of days ago. I asked If I should have something to carry out tests with and was told No!
