Can anyone tell me the difference between the freestyle lite and the one touch ultra 2 monitors. I've been given the latter and I get totally different readings than from the freestyle.
The Freestyle gives me +2 greater than the other.

The Freestyle Lite reads the glucose levels in blood plasma.

I don't know the One Touch Ultra. Have a look at the instruction leaflet - if it says 'whole blood readings' somewhere, it will give readings a little lower than a plasma monitor.

If they are both plasma - it's just one of those things. See Ka-mon's current thread 'Shock while comparing 2 meters' for a good discussion.
