I have a Codefree monitor that I have been using the past couple of years since I was diagnised but recently I received a Glucomen LX Plus..

Today I thought I would compare results - I used the blood from the same prick and the Codefree gave me a result of 9.0 and the Glucomen result was 8.1 - I had washed and dried my hands properly before testing.

Which result should I go with?

These things are only supposed to be accurate to within 15% so both yours could be correct.

I have an Accu Chek Mobile and an Accu Check Aviva. They never agree with each other!

The answer to this is don't compare. Each meter will tell you which way your blood sugar is going. If you have one that reads high then you will get a nice surprise at your next HbA1c test.

Even the same meter will give different results. They are just a guide, a pretty good guide, but never going to be totally accurate.

Thanks for clearing that up for me :-)

I tried a new porridge today - Special K porridge with red berries and 2 hours after I had a reading of 6.4 - very impressed with that one :-)
