Morning folks.

Went to see the Doc this morning for my 3 month H1abc results.

13th April 2015 it was 88. :arghh:

Today 32 :)

GP says he has never seen anything like it in his career. I told him it was achieved following the advice and support received on this forum and website.

Overall Cholesterol was slightly lower at 4 as well, and the breakdown was better (forget the actual #'s)

Discussed statins for 5 minutes, but he said he would advise against in my situation, which I was happy with as I would have said no anyway.

Only need annual check-ups now unless I feel the need to go back earlier.

Thank you everyone who has given advice and helped me achieve this result.

Now I've started I feel confident I can keep it up.

Great news. That's quite a stupendous change!

Just as an aside, when I went to bigger gaps in my testing, due to lengthy travel, I had a mini-battle with myself for a few days around my compliance to my way of doing things. One one shoulder, I had the goodie-two-shoes telling me to keep going and not waver, and on the other, the little devil telling me, "nobody's going to be looking for months and months, so go on........... That x, y or z wouldn't do you any harm!". A decent talking to myself dealt with that, but just a warning it might happen.

Good luck moving forward. You've dug the foundations, you're ready to move onto the walls.

Edit to clarify; when I say "....bigger gaps in my testing....", I refer to HbA1cs, not routine finger prick testing.
