Firstly I'd like to thank everyone on this forum who has posted there experiences as your info has been invaluable to me during my journey so far.. Bit of info,
I was unexpectedly dx t2 in Dec last year as doc decided to do bloods as I was in for a medical for a renewal of my driving licence. Low and behold A1c 58 and fbg 8.9 total shock as I never suspected or had symptoms. I've been lurking on this site over last few months filling my brain with as much info as possible and then decided after I got over the shock to try LCHF way of eating. Bought a monitor and tested tested tested. I got my 3 month blood results yesterday and that's why i joined today to thank this community. My A1c is down to 45, cholesterol and BP have also improved the only thing my my fbc is still 7 and would like to get it down further and hoping some of you on here may have some info/idea to help improve this and still have loads of other questions. Sorry for the long post. Thanks

First thing well done for grasping this and getting such improved results. Second thing is almost everyone struggles to get FBG down. I still do 4 years in and it drives me nuts but thats no good because other things that increase BG is anxiety/stress, poor sleep or any illness. I bet your next A1c will be out of prediabetic levels <41. I agree this forum is wonderful, Theres always something to learn on here even for us oldies.

Thanks for the reply. I won't stress myself on the FBG so and see how things improve as i go. Agree with you 100% on always something to learn on this forum and to think I accidentally came across this site while on Dr Google when first diagnosed

Dawn Phenomenon is a body defence mechanism, like adrenaline, cortisol and a whole host of other internal means of aiding survival - including blood pressure, which is currently demonised but is designed to help us out of critical situations (though consistent very high readings obviously have to be taken intelligently not ignored). So while we need to measure fasting BG, it isn't the end of the world when it goes higher than we'd like because of Dawn. And well, when we DO get it down, we know we have really got a result that we can be pleased with.
