Since i was diag T2 in 2000 i never have been told any of the figuers that matter except this is up or down etc. Well today that changed. The reason since March 08 when my GP wanted to put me on insulin ( and i didn want to) it forced me to revisit my situation. Firstly i discovered Byetta and in turn this site and therefore restricting carbs.
I started restricting carbs at the same time as Byetta end of March this year
23/01/08 05/08/08
Chol 4.1 3.2
TRIG 1.5
LDL 1.54
HDL 1.0
HBA1c 6.1 IN SHORT
THANK YOU ALL, MY GPs HAPPY AND SO AM I :D :D :D :D

Congratulations! not least on getting Byetta. they're VERY mean with it.

Wow. Great results. I'm impressed.I really hope in a few months time, I'll have better results myself too. It's very encouraging to read what can be achieved with a bit of determination.

Dave, Thats a great result.

Right - that's diabetes beaten - now for world poverty, global warming, PCTs, . . . .

Would it be worth a results thread where successful or maybe not so successful results can be posted. The reason isnt to gloat but to show what can be done

A great idea, sixfoot. A "before" and "after" results one preferably. As in before and after cutting carbs. and .......before and after for those who have success with "other" ways of improving results too. It would make very interesting and encouraging reading.

And today is another good news day ------- A FULL 2 STONE GONE !!!!!

At the start of all this i was a portly 19st 12lbs weighed at Worthing Hosp. Today after "eating sensibly" and little bit on the puff mill am down to 17st 12lbs.

Feeling smug !!!!! YOU BET :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Have a good day everyone
