The deserving and undeserving poor.

This article asks how do we distinguish between those who deserve Government help and those who do not.

Thought this inclusion in the last paragraph was very apt, " If we are now prepared to talk about the undeserving poor, who are the undeserving rich"?

I do not know how to define the 'undeserving rich' but I do know that in Great Britain most of the rich got that way off the backs of the poor and I mention 'The Enclosure Act' as a prime example of sheer blatant robbery.
The rich did their best to ensure the poor were never educated and at one time household staff being able to read was deemed as undesirable by the gentry etc.

The trouble is these days, we can read and understand far more that the rich are comfortable with.
