Just caught the tail end, lots about carbs, eatwell plate etc.

Was quite interesting .. gave a lot of space to Dr Unwin, Dr Asseem Malhotra and Mark Hancock (A PHC Ambassador and "ex" Type 2). The point I found most interesting and telling was that the guy from PHE Prof Louis Levy at the end said that the Eatwell Guide was good for the "generally well" but specifically did not mention Type 2's .
He also came out with all the usual bunkum about glucose for the brain, carbs necessary etc but I thought the point that eatwell was for the "generally well" was quite telling.
Maybe something is astir or maybe they are just hoping we'll all shut up and go away!
