Just wondering, have any of you lot cot photos & stuff to share about your pet fuzzy creatures? I have a 3 year old domestic long hair evil furball who goes by the name of Eric. He was rescued from being feral, aged about 8 weeks old, and was very poorly, with severe ear problems, fleas, and suspected cat flu. He is now a happy, healthy, and sometimes very soppy kitty.

http://ericthecat.pikfu.net/set1811721/ is a collection of photos of him and

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eASoGfUIjL8 is of him having a bath after having another bad dose of fleas.

Hi Craig.

Eric is lovely. The picture of him having a bath made me laugh, it reminds me of when we had to bath out cat Purdy when she jumped into a pile of Cow Muck!!! She wasnt happy!!! I must say Eric looks remarkably relaxed in the water

Lucy.

He's used to it I think. We had to bathe him quite often when he was a kitten because he had tummy problems. He doesn't complain to be honest, or put up much of a fight, he just has a bit of a tantrum putting him in the bath.

How well behaved is your water baby! My partners cat Roo loves the sound of water running and will stand on the bath and dip his paw in but thats as far as he gets to having a bath. And our stupid Golden Retriever isnt interested unless its a lake or puddle or stinky stream!!!

Eric is very cute :)

This is Miss Millie Mopp (orangey-coloured one) and Scamp (hyena-coloured one)

Our two shagged out after a day on the beach last summer.

The lion weighs in at 65kg and the polar bear now weighs more than me at 90kg

Awww bless Bess!

Mr Polar Bear does believe he rules the world. If we walk him into town he loves the attention he gets from the local population ( humans, dogs, cats, birds...) and as far as he's concerned they are all quite rightly paying him the adoration he deserves. He was a rescue dog from the fall out of a messy divorce. He apparently spent a lot of the first year of his life locked in a garage being used as collateral in the divorce case.

Ms Lion is by far the most intelligent dog I have ever had. Not so much intelligent in the same way as say a collie doing its thing with sheep but just in her ability to communicate with you. Incredibly empathic and can pick up on your feelings and communicate her own quite easily. Adores Mr Polar Bear too but uses her womanly wiles to get round him most of the time!

I have 5 rescue cats too
Stella, Logan, Shadow and Rainbow and Odin :D

This is our Riley at about 1 year old, the pictures were taken a year ago, when we first adopted him. He was abandoned in an empty flat by his previous owner and rescued by the RSPCA close to death, starving and severely dehydrated.

We don't think he had ever been handled kindly or allowed outside so, although we have had him for over a year, he only just starting to show his true nature. He is a Norwegian Forest cat and currently weighs in at a healthy 6.5 kilos. I would post a more up to date picture but he currently looks totally moth-eaten as he is in the middle of his first moult and refuses to smile for the camera. :D

That's a fine pair of canines you have there!
I see what you mean by Polar Bear-I had to look twice! What breed is he/she? :)

He is a sub breed of a Pyrenean Mountain Dog. Most Pyrenean's you find come from the French side of the mountain range and end up around the 60 - 70kg mark which is pretty big. They have a kind of pointy muzzle shape. They were bred to warn shepherd's of approaching wolves. Ours is a sub breed that comes from the Spanish side and are a lot bigger. They are distinguished by having a far more "Roman" appearance. They were bred to do much the same thing as their French colleagues but go one better and chase the wolves away! Our friends have an adult male Great Dane. Although the Dane beats him by about an inch height wise to the top of head he beats the Dane height wise by some way to the top of his back and of course he is far more muscular and well built. Temperament wise he is incredibly soft and he loves attention which of course he gets wherever he goes. Most of the breed are inherently Alpha dogs. Alpha in the dog world doesn't mean the most aggressive just the dog that others look up to and follow. If we walk him with our friends dogs he will happily amble along at the back but they all defer to him. He loves to play with other dogs and he lets them "beat him up" but once he's had enough, by some means, just by body language not by growling or biting, the others will instantly stop and lay down and submit. Its an amazing sight.

Actually the biggest if not the heaviest dog I have ever seen was Ms Lion's father. We got her from a local breeder. The first visit we went to see them her father introduced himself by jumping up and placing his front paws on my sons shoulders and then looked DOWN on him. My sons height? 6ft 5" Awesome dog!

Cool replies folks   . I must admit, in the almost 3 years I've had Eric, I treasure almost every moment. Even when he is naughty, he just gives me that cute look.

Aww, I love all your pet pics. I've got two 3 yr cats which we inherited from our son when he divorced (the usual emotional blackmail about if we don't have them they may have to go back to the cat rescue etc etc) They are brother and sister and couldn't be more different.Daisy is a very pretty tortishell fluffball and Alfie is a very handsome mackerel tabby. If it wasn't for Daisy I would probably get away with cleaning the house once a fortnight! Most of the time they rub along together but occasionally - and it's usually Daisy who starts it - they fight and chase each other over the house sounding like a herd of elephants instead of two cats. Daisy is quite freindly (bit of a tart really) but Alfie is really timid and disappears if anyone strange comes to the house or the doorbell rings. If I can sort out how to do it I will post some pics.

We have 2 cats, Primrose, the jellicle [viz TS Elliott!] and Orlando the marmalade cat. They have trained T1 husband very well. Whenever he opens the fridge door both cats appear and are rewarded with bits of salami. I get sent to LIDL to buy the salami at least once a week. I have to get it, because the grandchildren like it for breakfast on Fridays.
Hana
PS we also have 3 Italian greyhounds. Pippi aged 17 is now very frail. Gus, who thinks he's a very macho boy and young, but is Pippi's 11 year old son and Molly. who boings everywhere and is very obedient [went to classes with me] who is Gus's daughter aged 6
I don't think Molly realises that the living room has a floor. She bounds from the hall, over the sofas and armchairs.
Yes we do have children and dog-proof furniture.
