The SCREAM thread

Well my scream started on 5 August. My Mobile phone gave up, died, went splat. Apparently there was a microscopic crack in the screen. It was only 9 months old. I liked the phone but was told they weren't doing those anymore. I ended up buying the same make but a far cheaper model. Didn't like it. The screen was smaller and it was much more cumbersome. Well, I can't afford a better one atm so grin and bear it. On Wed 10 Aug I went running. Put my app for running on and off I went. When I came back the phone wasn't working. Thought I'd just run out of power but no. So the phone lasted 5 days. Took it back and saw the gormless salesman who sold it to me he took the back off and saw some moisture. He told me that as I'd obviously had got it wet they wouldn't usually replace it. Wet? When? I hadn't got a clue how moisture had got in it. He kept saying I will replace it this time. You must not tell anyone about it though.
As I cycled home the phone was making bleeping noises. It was turning itself off and on again. It said that the SD card had an error. I tied formatting it. After an hour of the phone going silly I took the battery out as it wouldn't stop turning itself off and on. The next day I got a message saying my data bundle had overrun. They were going to charge me for this! Went back to the store and there were more problems when they tried to sort things out on the computer about my usage it wouldn't recognise my DOB or mum's maiden name. Same salesman asked are you sure this is correct? He looked at the phone and the SD card was now working. I eventually got through to the customer services and pointed out that my 'large' data usage the day before was way out of character for me. She originally said well it's because of all the data your new phones have downloaded. She eventually said as a goodwill gesture they would give me an extra gigabyte of data and not charge me the extra. I went berserk! GOODWILL? I had not touched the phone other than to try and make it stop doing silly noises. The time this started was whilst I was cycling back from the store and phoning my aunt. She kept on saying that it was only my word for it and as she said they would give me extra data etc as a goodwill gesture. I was fuming! The phone is working sort of ok but it now tells me that there is no SD card.........AAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update on hols,
Now part2 as took the MoHo up for 10 days, via my cousin's in Hawick, to Ullapool area to see where my Granny's Grandpa was brought up on Little Loch Broom, then back via Skye and Grantown on Spey to home!
Everytime I turned on the MoHo the young collie fell asleep in her bed! No wonder she was always up at 6 for a pee and a walk!
 
A tut rather than a full in scream
A before bed hypo, an apple and slice of Ryvita that I didn't particularly want just before bed. Tut
 
Not into the selling of houses game...we put ours on the market last week had three viewings then nothing this week arghhh....
 
The sale of my London house fell through four times before completing. The only reason it sold on the fifth time, I think, was because my extremely mild mannered solicitor threw his dummy out the pram and told the buyer to put up or shut up
!

Hang in there. It'll happen.

House buying and selling is so much easier in Scotland, if you make an offer you cannot back out.
 
I wish I lived up Scotland...I absolutely love the lands up there ....we go every year mostly, that is into the highlands but my hubby says it too cold in winter grrrrr...still not sold the house people come look then go away saying you have a lovely home...one was going to come back for a second look and the estate agent said they was going to make an offer but they didnt come cos their son was atwork or something.....that was after we found a house we liked now am not looking untill house is sold...arghh

Well, in strict reality, you can back out, but it's a very costly option and enough to dissuade any sane person.

I know it's old news and I am not starting a debate .. No.
But @Administrator kindly don't put me on FB without my permission ..

Here we are meant to source any data used , how does that work when the site puts me or others on FB ..
Scream over .. I have said what I wanted for now ..

And please @Administrator i have asked many times now about the upload file ..no response
And no response when I shared with you about other data being used .. By ex mod .. Not good ..
Double scream ..... Must be the heat ..
 
Quite right too. Please do not put any of my content on FB either. I am not on FB and don't wish to be for personal reasons so I certainly don't want any of my posts on your open FB site for all to see. Thank you
 

I have no idea if any of my content has been on Facebook, but I think, if I recall correctly, in accepting the site (this site)'s Ts&Cs you are likely to have consented. I think this may have been covered on a thread some time ago, but can't recall too many details about thread name etc. Possibly worth a read through?

I think @Administrator may be on holiday at the moment. I only add that comment to manage any expectation you might have for a response over the coming days.

Nor me although I do have an FB account these should be entirely separate
 
Oh, Robs... I have only just seen all this. I am so, so sorry that you and your precious grandchildren have had to go through this. I knew that there had been problems with your grandson but I had no idea how awful it had been. My heart goes out to you xxx

Thank you, it's okay, I have now come to terms with it and have read the lengthy 'Court Bundle', so looking forward to a positive and a happier life for my grandson x
