Hi

I hope everyone keeps safe today and tomorrow in this weather and the hot temperatures diabetics are more at risk for many complications due to this weather. Especially increase in high blood sugar which i was surprised about.

As with almost everything to do with diabetes, heat affects us in different ways.
Some of see our levels rising whereas others will see our levels drop.
So we definitely need to keep a closer eye on our levels than usually, especially those treating their diabetes with insulin.

Thanx for the kind thoughtful message.
Insulin sensitivity increases for me. Eyes shimmering in the lower field of vision is an early low warning. Bright weather can mix the “signal.”
I’ll be spending a few days down on the coast too.

I don't cope well with heat anyway, but putting my feet in a bowl of cold water while attending online meetings works well.
