After being diagnosed T2 (diet controlled) earlier this year I was doing great - testing after meals (although I have to buy my own strips etc) and watching what I eat. And losing weight - slowly, but losing.
Then, at beginning of December I fell and broke my little finger (right hand - yes, I'm right handed). Just to cheer me up hospital staff tell me what a bad break it is  So it's been bandaged, then in a splint since then - making it both difficult and painful to prepare food (I live alone, so nobody to help me out). So I've been eating loads of junk - processed, packets, etc. And not testing.
And I know how bad I feel with eating all this junk - combined with pain and painkillers
Hopefully said finger will soon be better and out of splint, but I'm starting to be able to use that hand more efficiently and actually prepare fresh food again.
My New Year Resolution is to get back on track. I need to get back on top of this condition. I'm due to go on the local Diabetes Education sessions in January - not heard good reports  so really need to get my head back into gear.
Sorry for moan - I know there are many out there much worse off than me - but it's been a hard couple of weeks. Even typing this is hard, cos of the spline
Ideas on how to get back on track and undo the past few weeks welcome
Thanks.
Lynne
