Does any one experience great thirst ?
I am type 2 , on diet only ,
I have been thirsty for liquid for about a week .
I drink lots , and 10 minutes later feel thirsty again.
should I be worried , I wondered if my kidneys are struggling .
I have High blood pressure treated with propranolol , and Ramipril......
Thanks for any comments in advance :)

hi, thirst is a common symptom, its your bodies way of trying to flush out the sugar (sorry thats simplified) are you testing? i would say its unlikely to be your kidneys struggling if your drinking lots your kidneys will be nice and flushed ouit, but I'm only guessing about the kidneys, i would test and see how your bgs are, you may need to be treated more aggressively if they are high, but I'm not medical, this is all just my guess, good luck

You may need to get your blood sugar checked as it could be a sign that they are going up. hyperglycaemia symptoms are excessive thirst, increased urination - can lead to blurred vision and weight loss so don't wait is my advice.

High blood pressure is also a risk factor, just to add to julie56's post. As long as you are drinking water, you shouldn't become dehydrated. It is also possible that your medication "may" be causing your blood sugars to rise.
