well i am rather proud of myself today, all my readings today have been between 6.3 and 6.8,

i feel i am the right path, felt pretty good too. think its the best day i have had too, felt pretty good...just minor dizzyness and slight blurry vision..nothing major, i put this down to the low numbers...i could be wrong..as being new to this i am learning all the time!!

just wanted to share my good day with you xxx

Well done Roxy, you are doing very well.
Keep up the good work.
The side effects will settle after a while when your body gets used to the new diet.
Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids as I found that I felt worse if I got dehydrated.
This appears to be even more important if you get put on Metformin as that seems to give me headache unless I drink plenty (but thankfully none of the tummy troubles others suffer).
We are all different and once we get to know our own bodies quirks we stand a chance of keeping it happy!!
All the best.
Angie

thanx so much Angie,

i did think for a while why i was getting the slight dizzyness and blurry vision, but i hope i guessed right and put it down to the low numbers...was nothing much and gives me hope that i can get on top of this :)

i am so hoping to avoid meds if i can xx

Well done Roxy your on the right road keep it up and pat yourself on the back. Good advice from Angie, watch out for dehydration

Sounds like me after a few glasses of red wine

well i am very shocked!! same breakfast as yesterday ...the only 1 that kept my BS more or less same as 2 hours ealier!!

its 8.5 today was only 6.3ish yesterday!!!

i got up feeling a little groggy, and i am rather sweaty this morning..maybe thats it?

so confusing

Hi Roxy,

Stop the stressing, you know what that does.
Were your fasting readings identical?
It is not easy getting it right and you could eat the same breakfast 10 days on the trot and all the readings would be different. That is the idea behind testing. Keep trying new things until you get good readings every day, they will not be identical but low enough to know that you have cracked it.

You could have an infection or virus on the way but whatever it is you need to know that your efforts will be rewarded eventually.
You are still reeling from the diagnosis and working hard at being able to manage it. 100% for effort.

Roxy its strange isnt it how you can eat the same but get a different result ,
here is an example of my bgs on the two mornings in the past week where i had the same breakfast

25/5/11
Stopped
Gliclazide 4.4 Str and bl berries and yog 5.8

26/5/11 4.8 Str and bl berries and yog 6.2
