This is not controllable.

There a lot to learn. We are all individuals and foods effect different people in different ways. I was diagnosed in June 2021. I went low carb and just one tablet.
My readings are up n down, various things affect the readings, stress for instance, which is big for me. My Atrial Fibrillation affects it too
So, if that’s kicked off, my numbers are all over the place.

Two weeks now. Daily carb intake 5-10g/day. Lantus dose of 210units/day

Blood sugars still topping 325mg/dl .

Someday, they will understand mitochondrial diabetes is not "normal" Type 2 diabetes.
It may be time to call in the troops and see about a basal and a bolus... I could go over your diet with you, but I have a feeling you know what you're doing, so, yeah... I'll keep my fingers crossed for proper help with this, soon.

Have to agree with the above, every oen is different some can eat certain foods others not I have found that out over time.

Hi,

Sorry to read of your disappointment.

Sounds like you are prescribed a basal insulin, only?
This normally just works in the background it technically isn’t designed to deal with carbs or protein. (As such. If you are carb conscious & subbing with the meats?)

What are your fasting levels like with the BGs?
Here is a helpful link to test the effectiveness of your basal insulin dose. https://www.mysugr.com/en/blog/basal-rate-testing/

Best wishes.
