I have been a diabetic type1for 30 years now on insulin. I do read this website and when I need to change something like a password or user name I am asked to go to Profile. It is not readily available and I have just spent 10 mins trying to do just that. Sorry but the website is not my favourite and I find it not at all friendly.

Hi Neil and welcome to the forum :)
To change your user name you will have to send a PM to Administrator giving the new name you would like. You need to have posted 5 times before you can use PM so think of some interesting things to post :)

Excuse me for jumping in here Neil. I joined the forum in January this year, so I'm still a newish member, however I feel I would like to defend Diabetics.co.uk.

For what it's worth, I would like mention that from my point of view the site is very easy to use, everyone has been very friendly, very eager to help and advise in many ways.

Can I urge you to stick with it, don't give up and continue to view the various threads as you have been.
Everything on display is there for our benefit and help with whatever our needs may be.

Hoping you do stick around and perhaps post one or two items yourself.

All the best,
weewillie.

Would like to add my voice to WeeWillie"s. Don't give up on us all yet, please. I find this website to be the best I have tried ( and I tried a fair few before finding this one). It has helped me in ways too numerous to count. The vast majority of people here are hugely supportive and friendly. I drop in nearly every day. I always felt alone with my diabetes but since joining this for that feeling is gone. Stick with us for a little longer. Everyone is here to help

Most people who experience trouble viewing this site usually have computer problems.
Clear out all the rubbish from temporary files etc and do a defrag ... usually the problems will go with completion of the maintenance session.
Also a good registry cleaner is recommended and there are plenty of free programmes to choose from out there
