that I have been using daily exercise as my only anti-diabetes medication.

Based on a sky-high fasting blood sugar reading of 468 mg/dl, I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. I was supposed to be on several anti-diabetes pills but I refused to take them. So our family physician, Dr. Adelto Adan, a cardiologist at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, USA, required me to take a stress test. As soon as I passed it, I started running our stairs for a daily total time of 2 hours. I did this for 16 1/2 years.

My total daily exercise time now is still 2 hours but my exercise routines are much easier: power-walking in place combined with jogging in place. Sometimes, I add modified push-ups and squat.

The foods I have been eating are heart-healthy, natural, fresh (raw or cooked), unprocessed, and whole (mostly carbohydrates).

In short, during all the time that I have been a type 2, I have been living like I have no diabetes.

Am I here to tell you to follow 'my way' of controlling my diabetes?

No, not at all.

I wish to suggest that you listen very carefully to everything your doctors, healthcare providers, and other diabetes experts tell you, and do your best to discover for yourself 'your way' of successfully managing your disease. Yes, it is easy, inexpensive, rewarding, and well worth your time and effort to attain a life like you have no diabetes.

Please google my name and you will know more about me and my diabetes

BRilliant news Bonny
So much for the "inevitability " of progression in T2.
I usse similar principles to you, but add minimal Metformin and have kept control for 9 years. I can't however run. a stroke took away my "recoil" muscles in my left side.
Where do you run stairs? I've seen people on US TV programmes do this in blocks of flats, but my own stairs would be too steep and narrow.
You must be very fit

Noblehead,

Thank you very much for your compliment.

To tell you the truth, I work very very hard that I may be able to reach my 100th birthday without any diabetes complications. Once I have done that or anything close to it, or whatever that appears extraordinary, then I can happily say to myself, "Well done, Bonny, well done!!!"

Please join me in enjoying life like we have no diabetes.
