Apologies people I need to rant!

It's too darn warm and I have had to set an alarm at night in case my sugars drop....and they did.
I hit the muscle in my stomach yest which for those of u who have experienced this, know it is quite the throbbing pain.
Had one of the scariest hypos yest walking home and no lucozade on me! Nearly passed out at my front door but the absolute clinker was today...
A work colleague who has coeliac disease telling me that her condition is probably more serious than mine as hers can trigger cancer. Well I needn't tell you that my first thought was to do a complex karate kick in her direction, but I just smiled and explained that comparing illnesses is just not my cup of tea.
Why are people so silly????

Apologies for the rant....its been a frustrating few days...i know you understand! Xx

Hey Lynz - I get you, yes sometimes I get days like this too.. They sort of manage to snowball and end up an avalanche !! I can't complain about my BG levels at the moment, they are the best they have been in ages, just teetering on the edge of a hypo, but catching them before they get there at the moment. Hypos can hit anytime, keep a bag of jelly babies in your bag if you can - try not to get caught out again.

As for illness comparison conversations - ignore and remember they haven't got a clue, i'd quite happily trade this for a gluten free diet any day though ;)

Nice reply. I really don't know what I would've said to that! Maybe "well mine can cause kidney failure, amputation and blindness"?? but you're right - nobody should be comparing in that way!

I've been struggling with hypos in the heat too, just one more little 'trick' that diabetes likes to throw at us! It's sod's law that it happens that one time you have no lucozade, luckily I haven't got caught out properly yet but I did realise one day I hadn't replaced my 'stash' at work so I was lucky. Take care x
