I have to admit, im the same! i was diagnosed three weeks ago, and am waiting to go on the DESMOND course, because, like you, it feels like information overload right now!!! I seem to think about what, when and how much im going to eat from dawn till bed time!
So far, ive lost 9 pounds, and am testing 3 times a day, my fasting bg is between 6.5 and 7.5, and it definately seems to take a long time for my after meal Bg's to come down, they are usually around 8 to 9 at two hours. My diet has changed a lot, and im also taking 500mg metformin daily, i do think this med has affected my appetite, as i dont eat a lot, but im still really confused as to whats best for me, all food seems to make my Bg rise, but its getting to the point where i feel like i cant eat anything!
So, i am joining you as confused diabetics!
