So, been using Medtronic 780g with guardian 4 sensor for years now & get on well with it.
20weeks pregnant and just been told Medtronic isn’t licensed in pregnancy and asked if I want to switch over to the Ypsomed pump… what are peoples thoughts & experiences with this pump?

I also have type 3 diabetes & take Creon if anyone has experience with this?

Hi -becs

I am an Omnipod 5 user. Unfortunately I have not had any experience of the ypsomed pump so cannot comment on that. I can understand why you are unsure about changing especially if you get on well with the Medtronic.

Have they explained why Medtronic is not licensed for use in pregnancy ? Maybe have a look on the internet to see what information there is available about the ypsomed pump and whether you could get free sample or talk to a rep. That might help your decision making.

Sorry that I cannot be of anymore help.

I don't have any experience with the ypsomed unfortunately, but something I think that rules a lot of people out for it is it only holds 160 units, and nobody seems inclined to give you that information :D
I was very keen on it at my last renewal until I thought 'I'd better check what the capacity is'
