What is Thrombocytopenia (means lower blood platelets) and what it has to do with diabetes Type 01? I just made some blood tests and the platelets count is getting lower and lower in my blood, so what is that and how would it affect me? also why is it related to diabetes?

Hi, sorry to read of your lowering platelets. I had HELLP Syndrome whist pregnant, I'm type 1 and LP is for low platelets, so I had to have a platelet transfusion under an emergency C section under a general anesthetic to deliver baby.

We are fine and she is 18 now !!
So it looks like you are being monitored regarding your platelets, are you on any medication or another treatment ?
